the last years the market for lactose free products here in Germany has boomed.
In
many supermarkets you can find a separate shelf entirely with lactose-free
products and the demand has been increasing.
Could
it be that all at once so many people have become lactose intolerant?
A recent study by the GfK (“Society for Consumer Research”) found out that 80 per cent of the lactose-free consumers have no lactose intolerance!

looks more like a trend. Many consumers are convinced that buying lactose-free
products is healthier and don’t realise that these more expensive products are
superfluous for them, but they are great for those who produce them….
